Our privacy statement

This privacy statement covers the website groupp.energy. For groupp community, the platform the groupps run on, a separate privacy statement applies. You’ll find it after logging in.

Who we are

Groupp energy B.V., trading as groupp.energy, is responsible for processing your details through this website.

What details we collect

• Contact form: your name and email address, and, if you fill them in, your phone number, organisation, who you are and your message.
• Position paper request (on the Dutch version of this website): the details you enter in that form.
• News: if you tick the news box in a form, we keep your name and email address to send you news from groupp.energy from time to time.
• Website statistics: how the website is used, such as which pages are viewed and through which link visitors arrive. We do this without cookies and with shortened IP addresses, so we cannot recognise you.

What we use your details for

• To respond to your question or message.
• To send you the position paper you asked for.
• To improve the website and see which topics interest visitors.
• To send you news, only if you have chosen to receive it.

For your question, the position paper and the statistics, we do this on the basis of our legitimate interest: answering your question and offering a good website. For news, we ask for your consent, with the box in the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time. We don’t use your details for any other purpose, and we never sell them.

How long we keep your details

We keep messages and requests for up to one year after our last contact. After that, we delete them. If you have chosen to receive news, we keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe. If we work together, we keep the details needed for that for as long as the collaboration lasts and the law requires.

Who we share details with

We use a few service providers, who process your details only on our behalf:

• Mijndomein, for hosting the website. The website statistics are also stored there, on our own server.
• Google (Google Workspace), for sending the emails that result from the forms, from our own address groupp@groupp.energy.
• Cloudflare, which checks on pages with a form whether there is a human behind it, to prevent spam.
• Google, only if you click Show the map on the Contact page yourself. Only then does Google Maps load.

Cloudflare and Google may also process data outside the European Union. They do so with the safeguards the GDPR requires for this.

How we protect your details

The website uses a secure connection. Only the people who handle your question can see your details.

Your rights

You have the right to access your details, and to have them corrected or deleted. You can also object to their use, or ask us to restrict the processing or to transfer your details. To do so, email groupp@groupp.energy. We will respond within one month.

Not satisfied with how we handle your details? You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We update this statement when our website or the rules change. This page always shows the current version. If the Dutch and English versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
